I have a question about where I want to plant a weeping willow.?
I live in the country and have one thing in my backyard, where you can not cut by the lawn mower is stuck. It's where the septic system drains, near where pipes up from the land. So, knowing that trees weeping willow and a lot of humidity, I thought it would be a perfect place for this type of tree. I'm also waiting to dry so that space can not cut! My question is: will this screw with my septic tank or create a blockage or something? The septic tank is actually a minimum of 100 'from where I want to plant the tree. But as I said, is through the tubes that emerge from the earth.
Weeping willows have a very aggressive root system. You never want to plant anywhere near where moisture accumulates, unless it is far from any structure. They love the wet soggy soil. Best grown in semi-flooded soil. Systems roots are enormous weeping willows. It can break easily on a home base. Septic systems are Goners if the plant right on top of it. And of course, that may want to have a septic company come and take a look at why their land is saturated there. Your septic field has been broken and needs replacement. A properly functioning septic tank should not have soggy soil over it.

I live on a horse farm and a septic system appears to be a magnet for all kinds of flies and mosquitoes around the house.
