Will washing clothes with drywall dust affects my Septic System?
We have been remodeling and I can clean with a rag instead of paper towels. My husband says I should not because it creates a sludge and eventually ruin the septic field.

Try cleaning the dust with cloth towels and then taking them out to rinse the powder with the water hose while watering the flower garden. You can then throw the towel in the washing machine drity without worry. Wait until I had a lot of good size and dry towels to wash the dust from the wall by themselves.
