Do you know why a foul odor coming from my bathtub drain?
No hair or anything serious drainage and works perfectly well so there is no obstruction. We cleaned frequently. The smell is not all the time, just now and then, but can last several days. Sometimes a stream water down the drain gets rid of him, but not always. We are on a septic system, but have had no problem with slow running drains.
You can get a smell of baking soda and vinegar fan running every few days. If the u-trap is left unused for a few days the water evaporate into the trap-trap or the water is what keeps odors from returning home. Run drains without use for a few seconds every few days. If there is snow or ice blocking the vent pipe on the roof will be again the smell in the house. You may need to clean your vents in the spring.

Has anyone used Super-Max NT fluid in septic shock?
We have three rings of concrete through which the liquid dissapates after passing through the septic tank. We routinely pump the tank every two years. I have a little problem from time to time with my system septic drain field. Drain Ring seconds sometimes have wet soil above it especially after a good rain or snow melt. The drainage rings others have this feature. There is no apparent odor. I am considering using NT-Max Liquid Super Shock, has anyone used this material and if so what were the results. Thank you.
Never I used that brand before. There are hundreds of different types of bacteria. I have used the treatments of bacteria to remediate a drainage area before. The key is to know why wet the soil above the seepage pit one (ring of drainage), but not the other two. There is no magic solution. If the NT-Max is making statements like "Reset all drainage areas "was Leary. Each situation is unique. I do not think that a bacterium can damage your system. Good luck.

The system consists of a tank of water runoff water in two soakage pits. The deposit has been pumped clean and has since been strong odors from ventilation ducts.
There should be a gap in the system. Should not be detected the odor of an adequate system of work. Suggest you dig and find the problem. Unattended worsening.
