I am switching from a septic to a public sewer system what material i would need? its 400ft away from the tank
Most cities will require you to install new 4″ PVC pipe..starting at the end of the cast iron pipe that comes from your house a few inches from the foundation footing, to the city sewer line. Also..they will require you to pump the old tank & fill it with soil or sand. I worked with a contractor that did a large number of these..
City inspectors have to see the finished product & sign off before the new system is covered.
