custom socket question?
I am installing a starting point for a sump pump septic systems (lift pump?) which is fed with 10 / 2 UF cable in the concrete shaft goes through the drilled hole (hole filled with cement is) my question is, I can simply install a jack directly on the UF cable to supply the units to plug and use generous amounts of the electricity grid tape around the plugs or do I have to put everything in a NEMA 3? I am referring to cut the connector and terminate within the box, with approved accessories. maybe even use a small plastic NEMA 3 box and have the cable just hang? I have no idea in this case. please give me details on what to do. shot, of course, is manga 3 / 4 PVC extends 3 feet beyond the axis, and 1 inch in. Sorry, but I have my 2008 NEC code book, but my hand 2005 states that section 340.12 uf cable that will not be made operational in the unprotected concrete. So it must be in the pipeline. Having said this only makes sense to set up a case specially because most jurisdictions require that the circuit is monitored to ensure power loss is preventable. There have been no changes regarding these rules in 2008, just a change in the item code numbers everything else is equal. I not carry out an outlet.
