My mom wants to use one of those liquid power gels that are designed for DRAINS and not toilets?
It’s one of those power gel clog removers that penetrates and dissolves toughest clogs. It says it is safe for all pipes: PVC, Plastic, copper old pipes, septic systems, but it says “DO NOT USE IN TOILETS” but my mom is insistent.
What is the worst that could happen if we put this down the toilet and flush it?
Could damage the seal around the bottom of the toilet, that would probably be why the say don’t use it in toilets. If your seal gets damaged you will leave fecal matter and urine on the floor when you flush.
