sewer gas smell in the basement?

Hi, Recently we moved into our house a month ago. I smell sewer gas in my basement. I had a plumber out and crowned three tubes in the basement on Friday it had no limits. Furthermore, there is sewage in the basement, so it does not come from there. We have a septic system, but had pumped and inspected (all results came back fine) before buying the house. I'm at a loss to know what do. Any ideas? I should also add that this smell started about 3 weeks ago when he moved in. It is sometimes completely absent, and sometimes it is overwhelming (as today). So I'm thinking is not a dead animal, as it has been around for a while.

Sewer gas, it just comes from -? You got it, sewers! If the oven is in the basement, there should be a floor drain close to the a / c of the coil to drain into. May be partially covered with a box / carpet / other elements? These drains have a trap water in them – when the water evaporates – the sewer gas into the air fleet. These drains are usually in the bathrooms of a concrete floor for el agua fluye hacia ellos. I wonder what ended pipes plumber? Not trying to sound demanding, but almost has to be a floor drain. I will not mention dead animals because you surely know the difference in the smell of dead animal by the sewer gas. Perhaps a narrow basement window is leaving the smell of debris around the septic tank where it is pumped out? It almost has to be a floor drain.

He bought a house and not connected to city sewers?

I bought a house just over a year ago, and I made a home inspection and passed with flying colors. The house was built in the 60s and renovated in 2009. The foundation of the pier was strengthened and stabilized, and all piping was new. A couple of days, the bathroom is not downloaded so I called a plumber. Opening a siding and put a snake down to try to find the obstruction. Cable snake to a very old septic system. I live in the city limits and we have to be connected to the sewer of the city. Now, I have dug my yard and laying pipelines to bring the line of the city. Since the plumbing is new and there is a new PVC pipe leading to the former reservoir, it is obvious that the previous owner knew. The previous owner was required to inform me of this problem? Is there an action Justice I can take to ensure that it pays to fix this problem or I am left holding the bill?

No, because I was working at the time of the inspection. No, but you can always try. This should have been a question that you did before buying the house.
