Does anybody know about DIY alternative septic system?
I went to apply for a septic permit and the guy said I could not have one because of the size of my land. Then he winked and began to tell me that in our country there is no police "septic", said that because we live so far in the country should consider an alternative septic system but I did not hear him. (He is the type primarily responsible for the codes) He told me to do what I have to do, but just do not want to hear from him. Now, I'm here to see if anyone knows about a DIY alternative septic. Does this mean that under a certain size of the lot, just not give a permit? That sounds a bit weird. Usually, they want to perc and stuff before down. Septic system leach field for me was in danger. I have a consistent pool where the field is located leaching. I had the tank pumped and added several products that promise to fix the problem but have not helped. the system is ~ 22 years of age.
