Non-residential septic systems require ventilation?
I recently bought a house with a septic sytem. In the crawl space I found an air pump with a hose into the ground. The air pump was plugged into an outlet with aerator on the label. The air pump and has taken longer works. Me wonder if it's worth replacing. The septic tank seems to have an odor problem. I was wondering if certain requuire aeration septic systems. Other people I know with Septic systems do not have aerators. Does anyone know about this.

Is it okay to use bath salts with a septic system?
My husband says to use bath salts in the tub is a broken system septic. We have a ventilation system with jet sprays (do not know if that matters).
Good question, but her husband is wrong. A septic system digest is made of basically sh * t, I think you can handle a little salt. In addition, there is a high degree of salt in their body fluids, skin (which by washing particals drain with the bath salts as well). Frankly wouldnt make bath salts if you have not dissolved, or ruin your septic system. If you are being uncertain, search the web site for people who manufactured the system, ie it uses the song.
